This song was released a while ago as a sneak-peek at Canibus’s upcoming album, “Melatonin Magik,” but for some reason I forgot to post it here. Anyways, I love the song and am unbelievably hyped for “Melatonin Magik” which is due out on February 9th.
I go from listening to some Canibus, the greatest rapper alive, to songs like Christy Moore’s “Ride On.” I think I might have to pick up his whole “Live in Dublin 2006″ album sometime. I’ve seen a few of the songs on YouTube and they’re all pretty great. Anyways:
I actually tweeted about this not too long ago, and at the time I mentioned I could only find the song on the artist’s MySpace page. Unfortunate, because I like to meter my time on that website as much as possible. Anyways, I was jonesing to hear it again today but was both sad and delighted that Bis removed it and added some new tracks, and so my focus shifted to YouTube. Here it is, “Do This” by Canibus and Chino XL. I really like the hook in this song, and even though his verse is short I can never get it out of my head:
